By utilizing the end grain of the wood as the cutting surface, boards constructed in this fashion are much more hard wearing. Over time end grain boards will blunt your knives less and show fewer cuts and scars. More labor intensive to build, however, the end result is worth the effort as the end grain designs create beautiful patterns to add to the functional aspects of these chopping boards.
Our boards are made from traditional hardwoods such as ash, cherry, maple, oak & walnut but we often sneak in some exotic woods to add that extra color and flair. If you have a specific size, design or color scheme you would like to match then contact us and ask how we can custom build a board to you specifications.
